The Seeker

You vowed an oath to the seekers path

and accepted the rules of it’s journey,

when light calls you must answer

when darkness calls you must too

Your pursuit of the path just relentless

never stopped by a boundary or border,

you were taken places where your eyes lit with wonder,

then pulled to the depths, where the shadows had you blinded

Rest assure dear seeker, your oath has been fulfilled

is your brothers who carry your light now

your spirit with us will, carry on, carry on

When a fire sparked you set it ablaze

to see how much it would burn,

when night fell you’d set off the flames

to see how dark it could turn

You stood at the shores gazing at the horizon

forever chasing the swells,

the angels you met, to heaven they’re rising

far away from the demons, that lure you to hell

Rest assure dear seeker, your oath has been fulfilled

is your brothers who carry your light now

Sorry my friend,

if you felt like we could only be with the rising sun

I couldn’t see you were troubled and lonely,         

Now its to late, you’re gone
